Steve Jobs is not the Pope

A Wired article says Apple’s loyal fans, and even casual users, have come to identify so strongly with Apple’s high-end, individualistic vibe that they’re willing to look the other way when things don’t work.

It may be true, but it’s been the opposite for me. The more time passes, the more I find their products lack the quality control they used to have, even the operating system. I no longer recommend them to people who ask for my opinion for fear of getting hit with the backlash.

Not that the alternatives are much better, it’s more akin to choosing the least worse solution, but I just don’t get involved in other people’s choices.

From the look of things, Mobistar may be the operator that brings the iPhone to the Belgian market. Locking phones to operators is illegal here though so I’m curious to see how that one will play out.

They’ve already got the iphone on Lost.
